Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I don't think the thing was a bust and I never imagined it would continue forever. I'm one of those people that still buys CDs and LIKE buying them. I like the cover art, the lyric sheets and hardware in hand. I certainly haven't been one of the biggest Radiohead fans but I certainly checked out the album through downloading it on their site. Another band that did something similar to this before Radiohead was the Robbie Seay band, and I got their album Give it Away for free.

I will admit, since these CDs cost me nothing to very little, they haven't received as much play nor have I valued them as much. Ultimately, if I don't have a CD to put in the car, I don't listen to it much (and I haven't desired to burn a CD of either yet).

Man I would love to see those figures, because I bet they're small. I'd imagine most people didn't pay anything for it. I applaude them for trying something daring, but it was probably doomed to failure.
